SIDENOTE: When you’re finishing rinsing the dye, do a rinse with Apple Cider Vinegar.
I found this tip about a month ago when researching another blog post. I’m testing how much it helps on red now and will update this post. This tip had some scientific “data” that explained why it’s effective and other reviewers said it worked for them.
If you can get away with washing your hair every other day or longer, do it. The more you shampoo and rinse your hair the more dye will be released from your hair. I reduced my hair washing to 2 times per week. In between the washes I use a dry shampoo. (If you’re an athlete or workout daily, then dry shampoo will be a must when trying to reduce how much your hair fades.)

Now however, I’m seeing colors stay in 6-8 weeks. The blue I recently had lasted more than 3 months and only faded out because I was actively trying to remove it for a new hair style.
